White House to media--'Don't report what you discover' April 5, 5:31 PMConservative ExaminerAnthony G. Martin
In light of numbing revelations over the last several days concerning fraudulent statements on Barack Obama's resume, this piece of information curiously comes to light.
The White House has instructed the 'mainstream media' not to report what they may discover.
The White House directive was issued as part of a deal struck between the Office of the President and reporters of the mainstream media.
In exchange for being given unprecedented access to Barack Obama, reporters would promise not to report 'certain matters' they may discover while covering the President.
From Steve Clemons at The Washington Note:
What I have learned after discussions over the last several days with several journalists who either have regular access to the White House or are part of the White House press corps is that there is a growing sense that access is traded for positive stories -- or perhaps worse, an agreement that things learned will not be reported in the near term.
What, exactly, is meant by 'things learned?' What information could a journalist uncover while having close access to the President that would be deemed so damaging, embarrassing, or even worse, that the White House is exhibiting a near-paranoia in making sure such information is not reported?
And more importantly, why would any true journalist who is worth his/her salt agree to such a scheme?
Clemons believes that part of the reason is that some reporters who cover the White House want to write books about Obama.

“Most Transparent President Ever Has Bar Records Redacted This Week, Leaving Only Traces of His Existence Some Betamax Videos and a Fraternity Pin”
President Obama’s Occidental College transcripts have never been released. His Columbia transcripts are, likewise, AWOL. And his Harvard Law transcripts also haven’t been made public.
Finally, it’s reported, he never published any articles while at Harvard, yet somehow served as Editor of Law Review. That would make him unique among editors, according to insiders.
Even John “D Student” Kerry was guilt-tripped into releasing his transcripts.
Curiously, since I relayed a report of Obama’s “teaching career” at Chicago (he was apparently never a law professor, as some have claimed), the Illinois Bar has decided to partially redact what little public information it had available on its website related to the President’s legal status.
On March 1st, I captured the public records available at the Illinois Bar’s website for the President (click to zoom):
Perhaps it’s just some clerical issue or a database cleanup problem.
But when even the tiniest breadcrumbs of background information on this, the most mysterious President ever, begin disappearing, I think it’s worth asking some questions.
And perhaps The New York Times or Glutes Sullivan could reassign a cub reporter from the Sarah Palin detail in Wasilla to find out just what the President’s grades were — and how he actually paid for school.

Wacthing Mike Wallace interviews with Aldous Huxley, listening to anthony huchins during the START talks today proclaiming that based on the healthcare process Obama would be around in 2012 and beyond, and then this totally OUTRAGEOUS request to the PRESS and their capitulation, one would think we are well into a Dictatorship.

In his memoirs Barry’s already admitted that he regularly snorted coke. His college records are tightly sealed. His only substantive job prior to politics was as a partner with Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayres in a foundation that doled out cash to dubious non-profits. This was all apparent before the election, yet was downplayed significantly in the press. I don’t know why it’s a surprise that there may be other surprises that journalists are keeping under their hats.

WOW...This is just insane... Most days I don’t know if I want to Puke,Cry,Laugh, or all of the above. I can’t imagine the laughter/Outrage if President Bush has even tried to ask the media to not report a story.
The media has lost all credibility. No one should believe one word these people utter. I hope all the ratings for these people continues to plummet. Of course then Obama will probably just say they are too big to fail and bail them out...

Oh... almost anyone who wants to work for the NYT, Washington Post or other flagship MSM media.
Journalist ethics have been so totally compromised in the years since the 70s that they might not even exist except in rare cases.
Journalists these days do not consider themselves impartial observers and reporters. They want to make things better, change the world, etc. If that means the truth suffers, it’s just part of the price that must be paid — as they see it.

I think we keep thinking the MSM is somehow separate from this Obama Dictatorship. I feel they are very much part of the this regime and the rise of such. They are what Huxley was calling the “privlidged class”: They have all the “freedom” they want in this Dictatorial Government to investigate Obama’s opponenets (US Citizens) but lose their “freedom’ when they meddle outside of the rule of Obama.

The White House has instructed the 'mainstream media' not to report what they may discover.
Revelations about what personal info he has under lock and key and no doubt armored guard hidden from Americans to see, especially including his school records from grade school through applications for college, grades and whatever he wrote under any of the names he may have used.
To: cycle of discernment
I actually think that finding out about this little arrangement to not disclose things discovered “in the near term” is exciting news. I think that should inspire the tabloids to get to work and dig up the dirt. Also, it will only take one resentful person who wants to settle a score to reveal what everyone else has kept hidden. Americans don’t keep secrets well when they feel they have been treated unjustly. Somebody’s going to feel slighted and start dishing.

You probably understand the risks much better than I, but the article says the journalists want to write books. That does sound like it delay the release of the information, but they can’t wait too long, or they risk that somebody else will get their book out first, and render the competing books redundant.

I actually heard O’Reilly or Hume or one of the Fox guys referring to this in the last couple days...they did not mention the Obama resume, just the angle about the WH asking media for ‘good stories’ in exchange for ‘access’.
Sounds straight-up crooked.
O’Reilly had a bit on tonight saying that the MSM has gone corrupt—i think prompted in part, by this revelation.

If this is true...
The only thing that surprises me is that they feel the need to ask.
The most recent was John Edwards...the media had to be brought in kicking and screaming on that one, and they still don't want to acknowledge that Elizabeth is a real shrew.
And take any Kennedy...Robert and JF passing Marylin Monroe back and forth. John's severe health problems were known by the press, but never reported. Robert's idea of comforting his brothers widow involved “sleepovers”. A lot of press knew, but being a democratic politician has press privileges.
As a previous poster alluded to, a lot of FDR's secrets were kept by the press.
They only become investigative journalists when the Prez has an R after his name.

White House to media--'Don't report what you discover'

In light of numbing revelations over the last several days concerning fraudulent statements on Barack Obama's resume, this piece of information curiously comes to light. The White House has instructed the 'mainstream media' not to report what they may discover.
(AP Photo/Susan Walsh) WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.
A 'sell-out' to the dreaded Capitalism on the part of liberals? Say it ain't so.
The agreement between the White House and reporters is mutually beneficial. The White House gets what it wants. Any information that it considers to be negative or damaging to Obama will not be reported. The reporters also get what they want--unprecedented access to the President of the United States, which will help their careers and eventually earn them millions in book royalties.
In the meantime, what are the citizens not being told about Barack Obama?
At least some of that unreported information can be found here and here.
There is more, however.
Questions are swirling as to how Barack Obama was admitted to Harvard Law School and hired as a temporary instructor at the Chicago Law School. The charge is that they were forced into it by someone or something outside the schools themselves.
These allegations involve the CIA. And that raises even more troublesome questions concerning the background of Barack Obama.
Did the CIA use Barack Obama as an operative during the late 1970s and early 80s due to the fact that he knew the language of those in the middle of wars involving the USSR, as well as those engaged in terrorism against the United States, in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan? Did he discover something during those years that he is now holding over the heads of certain persons in the U.S. government?
And was his admission to Harvard and his hiring as a temporary instructor at the Chicago Law School the pay-off for his having served the CIA overseas? Was it the CIA that forced Obama upon Harvard and Chicago?
Or is there yet another 'sinister force' behind all of these mysterious scenarios?
H/t to Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs.
