Dr. Schell,
Just read your letter to the JCS dated 1-10-2009 and not only commend you but pledge my support. I took the same oath as you (69-71) and feel stronger about it today that I did then. I, as you, have seen much of what we had in the form of rights taken away in the last several years and I've about had it. Unfortunately I have been preparing for this for several years as my calls and letters were answered with propaganda or lies as I'm sure yours were. I say unfortunate as I've worked all my life to retire a few years early so that I could fish, hunt, and just relax and enjoy what nature has to offer. Unfortunately I felt the need to acquire and conceal many more and quite a different type of supplies than I had planned.
Hopefully your letter and thoughts are shared within the JCS and other areas of the military making my preparations and those of many thousands of others very unnecessary. You can rest assured that if they are needed they will be used.
